Last night, the streets of Calangute went crazy. There were street parties, fireworks, tears, flags, bellowing music, dancing and many, many cries of 'INDDDIAAA!' to be heard all over the town. Yes even I, who barely have a grasp of the basics of the game, whooped and cheered with the best of them as the mighty India beat Sri Lanka in the final of the cricket world cup to win it for the first time in 28 years (are you impressed at my knowledge?!). I managed to capture a few photos of the party, although they're all a bit blurry due to the drink spraying everywhere and people moving very quickly!
